CBSE Class 10 Board Exam : CBSE Class 10th Board 2026 Exams
The Central Board of Secondary Education CBSE Class 10 Board Exam Date has officially released the tentative date sheet for Class 10 Board Exams 2026 on its website As per the notification, the Class 10 examinations will be conducted in two phases. The first phase will begin on 17 February 2026 and continue till 9 March 2026, while the second phase is scheduled between 15 May and 1 June 2026.
This is the first time CBSE has provided such a flexible schedule, allowing students not only to appear in the main phase but also to utilize the second phase for improvement exams or in case they miss the first session. This move is aimed at reducing stress and giving students multiple opportunities to perform well.
The exams will generally be held in the morning shift from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, though the duration may vary depending on the subject. The tentative subject-wise timetable includes major exams like Social Science (17 February), Hindi (20 February), English (22 February), Science (25 February), and Mathematics (28 February), followed by Sanskrit, Computer Applications, and other electives in early March.
Along with theory exams, practical and internal assessments will be conducted separately by schools before the main written papers. Students are advised to regularly check the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam official CBSE website for updates, as the current date sheet is tentative and subject to minor changes.

As a general guideline, evaluation of answer scripts will commence approximately 10 days after the conduct of each subject’s examination and will be completed within 12 days. For instance, if the Class 12 Physics examination is scheduled for 20th February, 2026, evaluation is likely to begin on 3rd March, 2026 and conclude by 15th March, 2026,” Bhardwaj added.
This year’s two-exam system ensures that students who might not perform to their expectations in the February–March session will have another opportunity in May–June without waiting for an entire year, according to the CBSE.
